Hát: The physicist’s Ferris wheel

cropped-img_4304.jpg

They’ve built a ferris wheel
In the zoo
where afternoons spill on ice-cream trucks
And the trees, tall and short
Absorb the larks’ trills
The ferris wheel lights up at night
Spins it spins as leisurely as the days
o ferris wheel

You say there are strong and weak
Gravitational and electromagnetic
The forces that keeps things together
And bind them forever
No probing, no fusing
You can’t see them moving

They’ve built a ferris wheel
In the zoo
where afternoons spill on ice-cream trucks
And the trees, tall and short
Absorb the larks’ trills
The ferris wheel lights up at night
Spins it spins as leisurely as the days
o ferris wheel

The experiments we slate
The formulae we fake
The hypotheses that radiates
The failures we anticipate
We go on we continue
There is no end to a circle

They’ve built a ferris wheel
In the zoo
where afternoons spill on ice-cream trucks
And the trees, tall and short
Absorb the larks’ trills
The ferris wheel lights up at night
Spins it spins as leisurely as the days
o ferris wheel

There is no end to a circle
There is no farewell
On a ferris wheel
