Week 28

Checkered

Your pieces ramble around
Behind my battle ground
My pawn nears your end wall
It takes a step
Though not needing to do it
Your king
Doesn’t look back
Nor
Can it do so
For we both know
Here comes a stale mate
Or a loss
Your move.
